Owner and President of Hempel Sheet Metal Works, Inc.  Survived by wife, Joanne Weidler-Hempel; daughters, Ginger Hempel and Missy Banyay (Chris); nephew, Dave Hempel (fiancée, Stacey); stepchildren, Kirk Weidler (Connie) and Jodi Weidler-Houghton (John); ten grandchildren: Marissa, Nick, Cody, Tyler, Katie B., Katie W., Renee, Sammi, Kaleigh, and Jenna.  Preceded in death by first wife, Jane Hempel; parents, Della and Barney Hempel; brother Bob Hempel.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 8th from 4:30pm to 7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Tuesday, May 9th at 10:30am at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 16701 “S” St.  Interment, Tuesday, 1:30pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors.  Memorials are suggested to Open Door Mission, Siena/Francis House, or Boys Town.
