VALENTA, Donna Mae (Prucha) Nov 2, 1928 Mar 10, 2013 Age 84, died peacefully Sunday March 10, 2013. Donna was born to the late Joseph and Ella Prucha on November 2, 1928, in Kramer, NE. She married the late Eugene Valenta November 29, 1952 and they lived together in Decatur, IL, before relocating to Omaha in 1958. Donna was preceded in death by her brothers Doyle, Lloyd and Jay. Donna attended Doane College where she met her husband, Gene. She declined an opportunity to purchase an insurance business where she worked in order to be a full time wife and mother to her children. Donna happily provided for others in her life, never wanting or needing. She consistently put others first. Now its time for her to experience joy, peace, love and happiness for all eternity. Donna was a long-time member of Pacific Hills Lutheran Church, and was a devout Christian. She loved the Lord and is now at rest with Jesus Christ. Donna loved to work crossword puzzles, garden, cook, crafts, play bridge and never missed a Nebraska football game. Donna is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Michael Rapken of Lenexa, KS and daughter, Terri Valenta of Dallas, TX. The family would like to thank the staff of The Sweet Life of Shawnee and the CNAs at CareStaf who cared so compassionately for Donna during the last year of her life. We also want to thank long-time friends and neighbors Virginia Mathis and Ed and Linda Baburek for their concern and care over the years. VISITATION Wednesday, March 13, 4pm to 6pm at the West Center Chapel. Donna will be remembered at a SERVICE to be celebrated at Pacific Hills Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 14, at 1:30pm. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
