Doris Arlene Warrick
April 26, 1937 – May 11, 2020
Doris Arlene (Williams) Warrick was born on April 26, 1937 in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Everett and Melba (Miller) Williams. Doris passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at Papillion, Nebraska.
In 1955, Doris graduated from Table Rock High School in Table Rock, Nebraska. Later that same year, on December 11th, she married Oth Eugene “Gene” Warrick at the Methodist church in Pawnee City. Together, they had four children, daughters, Cindy, Teri and Ginger and son, Jon. In addition to raising children, Doris kept busy volunteering at the Methodist church wherever they lived, whether it was in York, Nebraska, Newton, Kansas, or Olathe, Kansas. She also kept a bountiful garden, was fond of walking and golfing, and enjoyed cooking large meals for gatherings of her children and grandchildren.
For many years, Doris helped Gene run their own business while in Newton, Kansas, selling and distributing a hand cleaner called Miracle Scrub. After retiring in Olathe, Kansas, Gene passed away in 2007. Shortly thereafter, Doris fought and won a battle against breast cancer, and then moved to Wichita, Kansas, and finally to the Omaha area. Those who knew her well will remember her for her infectious giggles, ornery grins, and love of lemony desserts.
Doris is survived by her children: Cindy (Kim) Schlegelmilch of Omaha, Teri Reynolds of Olathe, Kansas, Ginger (Eric) Lasch and Jon Warrick, both of Wichita, Kansas; along with 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Gamble of Bella Vista Arkansas, Norma Kice of Wichita; and brothers, Richard Williams of Tucson, Arizona and Wayne Williams of Wichita.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Gene; brother, David Williams of Texas; and sister, Carol Brockmeier of Kansas.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, May 14th, 1:00 pm, at the West Center Chapel. INTERMENT: Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.

Doris’s bubbly personality drew us to her as we sometimes could stop and visit her and Gene, particularly in Newton. May the memories be sweet and sustaining at this time of loss.
