Dorothy Ann Schultz

Oct. 14, 1926-June 9, 2024

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.

Dorothy Ann Schultz passed on June 9, 2024, in Omaha, NE.

Dorothy was born to Ella and Frank Parr in Stanton Ne on October 14, 1926. She graduated high school and went on to study to be a teacher.  In 1941 during the war, Dorothy moved to Omaha for a year to build B26 Bombers at the Glenn L. Martin Plant at Offutt Air Force Base. She was a true “Rosie the Riveter” as her job was to crawl in the wing sections to rivet them on. Dorothy moved back to Stanton and later married Leo R Schultz on February 23, 1946.  She and Leo had 4 children.

Dorothy would help anyone as she was as kind as she was strong. She was a mom to many and a friend to all. She had a beautiful smile for you no matter how she felt. She loved her family with all her heart. She is going to be greatly missed by many.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ella Parr, husband Leo R. Schultz; brothers: Merle Parr, Tom Parr and Dave Parr; sister-in-law Ada Parr; grandson Kelly Schultz and son-in-law Larry Singles.

It is with a heavy heart that I hear of Dorothy’s passing. I worked with her for many years at United A.G. She always had a smile on her face and overall a very pleasant lady to be around. She will be missed and I offer my condolences to her family.

A very long time ago we were neighbors on farms south of Stanton. I remember her as her obituary described her. My sympathy to all of you.

Sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing. We played bunco with her for several years. She was lots of fun and we felt fortunate to know her. Our prayers are with the entire family.
