Dorothy M. Medick

Dorothy M. Medick

September 1, 1920 – November 7, 2020

Dorothy Margaret Medick, lovingly known as “Dot”.  Born on September 1, 1920, in Brainerd, Minnesota, and was called by her Lord, on November 7, 2020, in Colleyville, Texas, with family at her side.

Dorothy is preceded in death by Robert L. Medick, CWO Retired, her husband of 60 years.  She is survived by her three children, Steve and Pat Medick, Mary Medick Brooks, and Jack and Carol Medick; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

After Bob’s 29 years of Military service and retirement, Omaha was home.  Dot was employed by Stan’s Shoes in Millard for 19 years.  She was a member of Westwood Church, sang in the choir, and volunteered for Sunday school operations.  Her fervent love for reading both non-fiction and fiction, partnered well with her desire to be in the Bible daily.

Dot’s God-fearing nature, kind heart, selflessness, and willingness to serve, provided many years of personal fulfillment and enjoyment.  Her simple style was a living example to our family in handling the travails of daily living.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, November 21st, 10am, at the West Center Chapel.  INTERMENT: Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Millard American Legion Post 374 or Millard V.F.W. Post 8334.

She was a beautiful soul! Sweet lady. When I think of her I think what a sweet lady she was and how she would tear up talking about something that touched her heart.
