Preceded in death by mother, Virginia M. Hoffman.  Survived by wife, Kolleen J. Hoffman; children: Abigail, Andrew, and Arabella; father, Harry A. Hoffman; sister, Renee Trapp (Mark); three nephews and one niece.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3rd from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, 10am, St. Gerald Catholic Church, 9602 “Q” St.  Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.  Memorials to Hoffman Children Education Fund.

    Kolleen, Andrew, Abbi & Belle – We are so very sorry we will not be able to be with you on Wednesday and Thursday. We have a family funeral in Iowa. Our hearts are full of love and support for you all. Doug was such a special person & we will forever miss him!

    Kolleen, I cant tell you how very sorry I am for the loss of your dear husband. I was physically sick when I heard. You are in my prayers and truly please call if you need anything. He was such a wonderful guy and the world will never be the same with out him. Give my love to your children and family and know you are forever in my thoughts and prayers.

    I was shocked and saddened to hear of Doug’s passing. Kolleen, you and you children are in my thoughts and prayers. Doug was always such a friendly face at family events and I really enjoyed the time I was able to spend with him. He will be missed.

    I am truly sorry for your loss…… While we didn’t stay in contact after high school, he was a terrific guy that was always there for others. He was wired to help and be considerate of everyone.
