Douglas Michael Winchester, age 44, of Missouri Valley, IA. passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer at 11:41 AM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at The Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs, IA. He was born October 7,, 1971 in Missouri Valley, IA. to Roy and Linda Winchester. Doug grew up and graduated high school from Missouri Valley IA in 1990. He loved being outside, working on cars, attending swap meets, visiting the Goodwill, spending time with his family, his children and grandbaby Noah! He was in a long term relationship with Sarah Ramirez. Sarah has two daughters, Brooke and Chloe Preston. Doug is preceded in death by his father Roy Winchester and daughter Emily Winchester. Survivors include: his mother Linda Winchester of Missouri Valley, IA., two sons, Jacob and Jackson Winchester of Logan IA., three daughters, Jordan Winchester of Logan IA. Jamie Winchester of Council Bluffs, IA., one granddaughter Noah Winchester of Council Bluffs, IA., one sister, Lori and husband Bill McFerrin of Bennington NE., three brothers: Brian Winchester, Brett and wife Danielle Winchester of Missouri Valley IA, Rob and wife Tammi of Council Bluffs, IA. One nephew, Dalton Burk of Council Bluffs, ten nieces: Dani and Amber McFerrin of Bennington NE., Dallas Burk of Council Bluffs, IA., Shannon Winchester of Shelby, Iowa, Brianne and Jennifer Winchester of Omaha, NE., and Stephanie Winchester of Modale, IA., Shelby, Megan, and Carlie Winchester of Missouri Valley IA. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hennessey Funeral Home at 310 E. Huron Street, Missouri Valley, IA 51555. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Midlands Living Center and Hospice with Hearts for their support in his final days.
