Dr. Daniel H. Dietrich

DIETRICH, Dr. Daniel H. Mar 29, 1946 – Mar 28, 2013 Dr. Dietrich was born in Lincoln, NE. He lived in Wilber, graduating from Wilber High School in 1964. After graduating from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology, he attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center and graduated in 1973. He was co-founder and practitioner at the Omaha Family Practice and also worked for Alegent Health Care and Methodist Hospital. A member of the American Medical Association, Nebraska Medical Association, Omaha Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Practice, Dr. Dietrich was also board certified in family practice and was a diplomat of family practice. He was a volunteer faculty member of the Nebraska Medical Center and was awarded the Doctor of the Year from the Nebraska Medical Association in 2001. For 20 years he was the Medical Director for Quality Living, Inc. of Omaha. He was also a licensed private pilot. Survivors include his wife, Lynda, of Omaha; son, Brian Dietrich of Omaha; brother, Paul Dietrich (Judy) of Gretna, NE; 2 sisters, Sharon Wohl (Stephen) of Green Valley, AZ, and Donna Butts (Allen) of Puywallup, WA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Heinie (1992) and Louise (1979) Fox Dietrich and one brother, Steven Dietrich (1965). CLOSED CASKET VISITATION Sunday, March 31, 8am to 9pm at the West Center Chapel, with family receiving friends 5pm to 7pm. Private Interment Monday, April 1, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, followed by MEMORIAL SERVICE at 1pm at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 61st and Western. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Quality Living, Inc. of Omaha.
