CELEBRATION OF DWAINE’S LIFE: Family will receive friends on Monday, July 19th from 10am to 11am at the West Center Chapel, followed by FUNERAL SERVICE at 11am. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials will be directed by the family.

Dwaine Lee Zavodsky was born May 17, 1939 in Newman Grove, Nebraska to Emmons and Opal (Kunz) Zavodsky. He passed from this life into eternal life on July 15, 2021.
Dwaine moved from Newman Grove to Omaha following the death of his father in 1956. He spent much of his adult like working for Brandeis Department Stores in many capacities including as a truck driver. Along the way he met Shirley, and the two became lifelong partners.
Dwaine treasured time with friends and family, whether celebrating a holiday or special occasion, traveling with family or just simply sitting around and talking. He loved spending time with his grandsons and spent countless hours with them at Chuck E. Cheese and attending their activities. Dwaine had a love for animals, including his cat, Charlie. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. Dwaine was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Dwaine was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lordell Zavodsky; and sister Marlene Wortman. His survivors include partner in life, Shirley Windels; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Pat Jourdan; grandsons, Jarrod and Phillip Jourdan.
