Dwight A. Hargrove, 70, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on January 16, 2023, after a long illness.
Dwight was born September 5, 1952, in Racine, Wisconsin. He grew up in Kankakee, Illinois, before moving to Nebraska to attend Wayne State College, where he met Donna, his wife of 46 years. Throughout his life, Dwight impacted many people through his work, volunteering, and mentoring. He was always prepared with a joke and never met a stranger. He loved the Temptations, rooting for the Chicago Cubs, and relaxing on the patio.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Derek; daughter, Devon; brothers: William (Carole), Roy, Kevin, and Ronnie (Vanessa). He was predeceased by his parents, Gus and Lubertha Brooks.
VISITATION: Thursday, January 26, 3-5pm, West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to South/Southwest YMCA or Nebraska Humane Society.

This is such sad news. I don’t ever remember calling Dwight anything but ‘Rock’. I guess I never knew the origin of that nickname, but he was a rock solid guy who was extremely reliable and fun to be around. Rest in peace, my friend.
