Edith (Quinlan) Krebs

Edith (Quinlan) Krebs, 93, died on Feb. 18th at the Fremont Health Medical Center. She was a resident of Nye Legacy in Fremont, NE. She was born on June 3, 1924 in Blair, NE, the daughter of John and Bridget Catherine (Curran) Quinlan. A 1941 graduate of Blair High School, Edith attended business college and worked in Omaha until her marriage to Warren Krebs of Humphrey, NE on Nov. 5, 1949 in Omaha. They were married for 64 years and lived most of their married life in Salina, KS. Edith was an active volunteer in many church and parochial school activities. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and gardening, and was an avid golfer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Krebs; sisters, Elizabeth Lammers and Mary Bausch; brother, Patrick Quinlan. She is survived by her son, Kevin Krebs, of Houston, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION begins on Friday, Feb. 23rd at 6:30pm at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific St., Omaha, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, Feb. 24th at 10am at St. Wenceslaus Church. Interment will follow at 2pm at St. Francis Cemetery in Humphrey, NE.
