Edmond M. Connor, Jr.

CONNOR, Edmond M., Jr., Apr 30, 1925 – Nov 7, 2011. Born in Chicago, IL in 1925 and moved to Omaha in 1941. Graduated from Creighton Preparatory HS in 1943. After serving in the Navy, obtained Mechanical Engineering degree from Marquette University in 1949. Served on local and national boards of Mechanical Contractors Association of America. Served on national board of Christian Life Communities. Preceded in death by sisters: Sr. Paula Connor O.P., Ruth Wisnieski and Margaret Ann Moore; brother, Robert Connor. Mr. Connor is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann; 7 children: Katherine (husband Gerald) Sacca, Edmond M. III (wife Sue), Paul, Ann Connor-Dunning (husband Neal), Thomas, John (wife Julie), James (wife Brooke); 12 grandchildren: Christopher (wife Crystal) and Brian Sacca; Adam and Katherine Dunning; Michael, Mark, Luke and Paul Connor; Miriam Connor; Charles Connor; Liam and Lars Connor; one great-granddaughter, CC Sacca. VISITATION begins Saturday, 9 a.m., St. John Catholic Church on Creighton University campus with a Remembrance Service at 9:30 a.m. and MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL to follow at 10:30 a.m. Luncheon in the lower level of St. John Church following the Funeral Mass. Private interment, Calvary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are sugested to Christian Life Communities Trust Fund, care of Rev. Bert Thelan, SJ, Creighton University, 2400 California St., Omaha 68178.
