Edwin C. “Ed” Peabody

November 7, 1937 – December 25, 2023

Preceded in death by wife, Josephine M. “JoMarie”; parents, CE and Helen Peabody; sisters, Margaret Joseph and Ruth Steingraber; brothers, Harry and Ray Peabody.

Survived by children: Ed Peabody (Hope), Rick Peabody (Doug), Joe Peabody (Colette), Diane Barone (Anthony), and Jim Peabody (Autumn); 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Ramos; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (7600 S. 42nd St) Tuesday, January 2, 2023, 5:00-7:00 p.m. followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 3, 2023, 10:30 a.m. St. Bernadette Catholic Church.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Maggie Joseph Food Pantry/Lincoln Food Bank.

    Our sympathies to the family of Ed Peabody . He was a great family man who welcomed all. Sorry for your loss .

    It’s always hard losing a parent. Hopefully, it’s easier knowing that the lord has his loving arms wrapped around your father right now.

    So sorry to hear this. Ed was like a mentor to me in the title business and helped me early on in my career, He was a kind spirit and always kept me laughing. My condolences to the family and friends of Ed, He will be missed, .
