Sorry to hear about Eilene. She made our 12 years in Omaha special. She was more than a neighbor, she was part of our family. Our kids will remember her as their adopted grandmother and Ann & I will remember her as a warm, kind, big hearted friend. I will always remember her laugh and smile as we shared those often.(I can see her smile and hear her laugh right now.) She has moved on to a better place where she will be joining Don in eternal life. Our prayers are with the Boettcher family and we feel blessed and privileged to have shared time with Eilene.

You won’t know me but my dear Aunt Blanche Zeigler of Beatrice was a very close friend of Eilene. My Aunt mentioned her so many times and recounted all of the good times they had together through the years. I took care of my Aunt and she died in 1999. We now live in Lincoln for the past 5 years. I will say some special prayers for her in her memory. I bet they’re having a good time
    in their heavenly home!

So sad to hear of Eilene passing. What fond memories I have of the days at the University with her and Don and the occasional visits with them in New Jersey . She is one of the nicest, friendliest persons I have ever known. God bless her and thoughts and prayers to the family..
