Elaine L. Goldsberry
April 29, 1939 – November 16, 2022
Elaine L. Goldsberry passed away peacefully, age 83, on Tuesday, November 16, 2022, at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska.
Elaine was born on April 29, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska to Harry and Ruth Poppino.
She married Robert Goldsberry on September 19, 1965, and was blessed with one daughter, Diane.
She had worked as a lunch aid at Bancroft Elementary school for over 20 years. She was greatly loved by staff members and students. Elaine was an avid bowler as well as an accomplished darts player. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed watching and attending Nebraska Cornhusker football games.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Ronald, Jeannie, Gloria, and Maxine. She was preceded in death by her first-born daughter; husband, Robert; and siblings: Harold and Elenor.
Elaine will be remembered as an extremely thoughtful and loving person whose smile was infectious to all those around her. Her family and friends will never forget the positive energy she carried with her everywhere she went.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21st, 10-11 a.m., at West Center Chapel. Funeral services begin at 11, followed by a procession to the burial site. The family will be holding a luncheon at West Center Chapel following all services. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Center and Josie Harper Hospice House.
