CODR, Eleanor L., age 92 years, Omaha. As a young girl, Eleanor walked down the railroad tracks from Bee to Dwight, Neb., every Sunday afternoon, arriving at the boarding school in Dwight, moments before sundown. On Fridays, when the school day was over, she walked back to spend the week-end with her family on the family farm near Bee. She did this because she was determined to graduate from High School, which she did in 1933. This type of determination was shown many times throughout her life. She passed away on Wednesday, November 19, after living 92 full years. She left a wonderful example for her family to live by. Her husband, Alois J. Codr, preceded her in death. She is survived by 4 children and their spouses: Joan and Ray Petrzilka, Janice and Johnny Coder, Pearl and Joe Codr, Terri and Frank Codr, as well as 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
