Elizabeth (Lane) Crain
September 23, 1949 – August 23, 2021
Elizabeth (Lane) Crain was called to join her Heavenly Father, as well as her Earthly father on August 23, 2021. She was so loved by all who knew her, and her reach was global; both in her friends and her students at National University. The sharpness of her mind was matched only by that of her tongue. She was a voracious reader and a huge fan of Star Trek and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Elizabeth was an active member of P.E.O. International and dedicated her life to education and music.
Nothing was more important than her family: Bruce, her husband of 46 years; daughter, Celia; son-in-law, Jason Siebert; and beloved grandson, Ira.
Preceded in death by father, Richard Lane; grandparents, Judge Arthur J. and Ruth Stanley. Survived by husband, Bruce Crain; daughter, Celia Siebert (Jason); grandson, Ira; mother, Carolyn S. Lane; brother, John Lane; nephew, Adam Lane; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles from her extended family; and countless friends.
VIGIL SERVICE: Thursday, August 26th at 7pm at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 129 N. 40th Street. FUNERAL MASS: Friday, August 27th at 10am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 129 N. 40th Street. Memorials are suggested to P.E.O. International Educational Loan Fund (ELF).
