I knew Kathy and Jim in college. So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Be well and take care.

I first meet Betty when she was a nurse at St Joseph Center for Mental Health in the early 1980s. As a social worker new to psychiatric hospitals, she welcomed me as a new team member who needed some gentle direction, no matter how busy the day was. She was so kind and comforting to her patients. I know she was highly respected by the doctors and all the St Joseph CMH staff. There was never any doubt that her family came first, and that she will be missed by all.

Betty was a beautiful and gentle soul. I worked with her at St. Joseph Center for Mental health as an instructor in psychiatric nursing for Creighton University. Not only did she listen and soothe patients, she was always happy to instruct students and was a role model of a psychiatric nurse. She was always calm and thoughtful. Many people were comforted and helped in difficult times because of her presence and caring. God bless you and keep you Betty.
