Elizabeth Marie “Becky” Tometich was born the third child to the late William and Cecilia Larsen on April 15, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska. Becky has eight surviving siblings: Stevie Jasinski (Moe), Chris Watson (Bob), Jenny Hall (Roger), Bill Larsen (Chris), Matt Larsen, John Larsen, Carrie Cherek (Greg), and Dan Larsen (Shelley).
Becky attended Assumption Catholic Grade School, Gross Catholic High School, and graduated from University of Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1980. For many years she worked as a buyer of women’s apparel at Natelson’s Clothing Store. Becky met Joe Tometich in 1983 as a fellow member of the Omaha Sports Club. They began dating in December of 1984 and their romance soon blossomed. They were married at Assumption Church on May 23, 1987.
In October of 1990 they welcomed their daughter, Callie Christine, and Becky became a stay-at-home mom. Son Alexander Joseph joined the family in July of 1993; he was born with a rare immune deficiency disease—and the Lord knew Becky was just the mother to save his life. Their little family spent many happy years on Drexel Street in Ralston.
Becky was a very active member of St. Gerald Parish, serving as an EMHC, an adorer, a member of the Parish Council, and a core member of Alpha. She was responsible for bringing several exhibits to the parish, including the Eucharistic Miracles, the international Our Lady of Fatima traveling statue, and most recently, Father Carlos Martin’s Treasures of the Church relics display.
In recent year Becky was an essential member of Father Michael Voithofer’s Ablaze Worship Ministry team, and Encounter Healing Ministries as well. She just loved doing work for our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Becky was a longtime faithful member of our Fatima adoration group. Every month on the 13th and the 25th- we have someone in adoration for 24 hours to pray for special intentions. She could be found on the schedule even at the hard hours of 2-3am at times. I got tears today just imagining the greeting Our Lord gave her after all her years of faithfulness. Well done, good and faithful servant. And may God richly bless the family that will miss her dearly until they meet again.
Thank you Jackie. Becky always spoke highly of you.
Our thoughts & prayers to the Tometich & Larsen families. May she Rest In Peace.
