Ellen Catherine (O’Kane) Rowe
May 25, 1962 – November 1, 2022
Ellen Rowe, 60, of Omaha, passed away peacefully in hospice care at Esprit Whispering Ridge on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Ellen was born on May 25, 1962, in Seattle, Washington.
Ellen is survived by her loving son, Thomas (“Tommy”) C. Rowe; sisters: Mary O’Kane (Joseph Graif), Julie Warner (James), and Corinne O’Kane (Scott Fleischman); brothers: Mark O’Kane (Joy) and Daniel O’Kane (Heidi Roehrich); aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Patrick and Patricia (Brady) O’Kane and brother Michael.
In April of this year, Ellen suffered a stroke and fought bravely for many months, but succumbed to complications of the stroke.
Ellen lived a full and joyful life. She enjoyed her job working as a dental lab technician, however, she enjoyed spending time outdoors more and always looked forward to spending time on the lake with her friends or fishing. But, above all else, Ellen loved spending time with family and friends; and her laugh was uniquely contagious. Ellen spent most of her life caring for others, including her brother, Michael; her mother, Pat; and her niece and great-nephew, Alecia and Aydrian (2). She made a point of accepting others in all their diversities. Everyone who knew Ellen knew what an exceptional person she was.
After her stroke, Ellen needed to be cared for in all aspects of her life. Along with her family, Ellen’s cherished friends, the Brashers’ (Paul, Toni, Becca, and Jocelyn), helped lovingly care for Ellen; and we are forever grateful to them.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, November 5, 2022, 10:30AM, at Holy Cross.
