Elsie A. Leavitt

February 3, 1929 – March 16, 2022

Preceded in death by husband, Arthur “Len” Leavitt; son, Leonard E. “Len” Leavitt; brother, Frank Hocevar; sisters, Frances Dwyer and Dorothy Tebeau.  Survived by sons, Bob (Cheryl), Russ (Sandy); daughters, Sue Leavitt (John Lortz), Therese Yakel (Paul); daughter-in-law, Kristine Leavitt; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Hocevar (Mary).

VIGIL SERVICE: Monday, March 21st, 7pm at West Center Chapel with family receiving friends from 5pm to 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, March 22nd, 10am at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 3601 N. 65th Street.  Interment: Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Roncalli Catholic High School Leavitt Scholarship Fund, St Bernard Catholic Church or Angels Among Us.

    Sue, I am so sorry for your loss. Elsie was an amazing woman! You were so blessed to have her for so many wonderful years!

    Elsie was such a delightful lady. I will miss her. My heart goes out to her kids and family. Prayers to you all.

    Very sorry for your loss,. Elsie was my favorite sister. She & Len left a great legacy . With love Uncle Joe.

    Elsie was a great resident at Parsons. We played bridge and poker and always had a great time. Carol Betts and I will miss her a lot but know she will have many friends and family upstairs in heaven.
