Emma Anne Gehring, 8 years old, passed away on Friday December 11, 2020 at 5:13 p.m. at Children’s Hospital surrounded by her family after a courageous 8-year battle with a pediatric brain tumor. Emma was determined, witty and extremely loving. She enjoyed playing kitchen, doctor, watching cartoons and doing anything with her brothers. Emma had such a wonderful sense of humor and her giggle was contagious. She had a personality that sparkled and always made you smile. Although Emma faced many challenges that set her apart from her peers, she made friends everywhere she went. She loved spending time with her friends, family, nurses, doctors, teachers and therapists and had a special knack for touching the lives of those around her. No one could live and love more passionately than Emma did. Emma faced her battle with pediatric cancer with perseverance and grace.
