Erin Ann Abrahamsen was born to Kay and Andrew Abrahamsen on May 20, 1981, in Hollywood, Florida.  She is survived by her mother, Kay; and sister, Mechan; uncle, Gary Garrison (Gerri) and their children, Angela and Duane Moerke; uncle, John Garrison (Marilee) and their children, Ken and Amy; best and dearest friend, Tiffany Tibbits; and extended family; cousins from Leavenworth, Kansas and Norway.  She was predeceased by her loving father, Andrew; and grandparents, Marie and Ed Garrison.

Erin attended St. Bernadette Catholic School through the 8th Grade, and Chaminade-Madonna High School in Hollywood, Florida.  She received a Culinary degree from Fort Lauderdale Art Institute and a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.  Erin loved to sing, dance, laugh, and make family and friends happy by preparing delicious food and enjoying time together.

Erin spent her early life cruising with Norwegian Cruise Line, where her father was employed, and grew up travelling with her family on the cruise line’s ships.  She acquired a love for life and for the hospitality industry, and decided at a very young age that she wanted to pursue life as a chef.  She spent her high school years watching cooking shows, which brought her a lot of joy and a love of trying new recipes and serving others.

Erin worked in the food industry in many capacities and always dreamed of owning her own Bed & Breakfast.  She will be remembered by family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.  May she rest in eternal peace, our angel on earth and now in Heaven.

Memorials are suggested to Christ the King Catholic Church or to the Col. Ed and Marie Garrison Scholarship.

Oh, Kay… I am so very sorry. No one should be predeceased by a child, a child of any age. The hurt never stops. God’s graces be with you in your mourning.
