ERMA J. MOCHA, age 77, of Honey Creek, Iowa passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 at her home. Erma was born September 15, 1931 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Frank and Vernal (Durham) Townsend. Erma was married to James Mocha, in 1948. In 1965 they started Mocha and Sons Construction Company. Erma enjoyed garage sales, mushroom hunting and cars. James passed away January 17, 2003. Survivors include her children: sons: James Mocha of Honey Creek, Iowa; Roy Mocha and wife Connie of Honey, Creek, Iowa and their children Sarah Mocha of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Nick Mocha of Honey Creek, Iowa; Danielle Mocha of Honey Creek, Iowa; Bob Mocha and wife Kay of Missouri Valley, Iowa and their son Neal Mocha of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sister: Lillian Hamar of Honey Creek, Iowa; sister Mary Gillette and husband Ron of Coin, Iowa; nephews and nieces. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, and bother Ray Townsend. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Christian Church in Missouri Valley following the committal service.
