FINKEN, Eulalia R. “Lolly,” Feb 10, 1921 – Aug 20, 2011. Omaha, Nebraska; formerly of Manilla, Iowa. The daughter of Henry and Mary (Wilwerding) Langenfeld, Lolly was born on a farm near Earling, IA on February 10, 1921. She died at Parson’s House in Omaha, NE on Aug 20, 2011, at age 90 years, 6 months and 10 days. Lolly was baptized and confirmed at St Joseph Catholic Church in Earling. Lolly was raised on her parents’ farm and attended St Joseph School in Earling. On August 31, 1943, she married Gail H. Finken at St Joseph Church in Earling. Five children, two daughters and 3 sons, were born to this union. After their marriage, Mr and Mrs Finken farmed near Kirkman, IA for several years and then moved to Manilla in 1950. Lolly was a homemaker and Gail sold live stock feed for Moorman’s Feed Co for thirty years. Both Lolly and Gail were very active in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla. The couple retired in 1980 and spent their winters in Mesa, AZ and the rest of the year at their home in Manilla. They enjoyed golfing and fishing and led an active social life. They moved to Omaha in 1998 to be closer to family. Gail passed away in 2001 and Lolly moved into Parson’s House assisted living facility in 2007. In addition to her parents, Lolly was preceded in death by her husband Gail and by a brother, Joseph. Survivors include daughters Janice Leverett (Nick) of Plano, TX, Sandy McDonald (Tom) of Gravois Mills, MO; sons: Jerry Finken (Nancy), Dan Finken (Karen), both of Johnson Lake, NE, Randy Finken (Karen) of Omaha, NE; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Koch (Lou) of Earling, IA, Jeanette Croghan (Tom) of Omaha, NE; brother, Merle Langenfeld (Rita) of Carroll, IA; numerous nieces and nephews. VIGIL SERVICE Monday, 7pm, West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Tuesday, 10am, St Leo the Great Catholic Church 102nd and Blondo. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. VISITATION from 3pm Monday at the West Center Chapel and after 9:15am Tuesday at St. Leo the Great Church. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association or Masses.
