Eunice R. Kuhns
December 7, 1927 – April 23, 2023
Preceded in death by husband, Peter W. Kuhns. Survived by sons: Donald J. Kuhns (Kara), Peter T. Kuhns (Laura), and Thomas M. Kuhns; three grandchildren: Alec, Zachary, and Isaiah; brother, Eugene Barta (Jan).
Loving mother and devoted spouse, professional artist and schoolteacher, Eunice lived a long and joyful life of faith and community service. As active members of Mary Our Queen and St. Cecilia parishes, she and husband Pete sponsored a family of Vietnamese refugees who had resettled to the Omaha area. Prior to that, with two young boys to raise, she stepped in to care for her brother’s four children after a tragic car accident left them without a mother. Selfless and humble, Eunice will live on in our memories as mother, grandmother, family member and friend.
VISITATION: Thursday, April 27th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 6:30pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, April 28th at 11am, Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3405 S. 118th St. Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
