Gunderson, Evelyn Ann “Pat”
December 1, 1928 – June 8, 2018
Pat Gunderson of Omaha died peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha.
Pat was born in Mauston, Wisconsin and was the youngest of three children born to Dr. Charles and Anna Rose Hamilton. She grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1945, she married Bob Gunderson and moved to Omaha in 1954 where they lived together until Bob’s passing in 2015.
Pat was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray dance studios. She had a life-long love of golf and was an accomplished master at competitive bridge. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Omaha and was active in the Republican Party.
Her husband Bob, her son, Jon Gunderson, and her parents, preceded Pat in death. Pat is survived by her children: R.G. Gunderson, Kathy Daniel (Scott), Micky Marti and Christine Sheehan (John); grandchildren: Erin Hamilton (Andy), Gina Kuchta (Joe), Tony Daniel (Karly), Lauren Nowak, Tim Marti (Michaela), Drew and Dan Marti, Colin Gunderson (Silvie), Bobby, Danny, Katie, Johnny, Patrick and Joey Sheehan ; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific. Lunch will be served in the Mainelli Hall following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
