Evelyn Ann (Potach) McKay of Omaha, Nebraska, born on October 25, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on March 2, 2022 in Blair, Nebraska. Evelyn was preceded in death by her son Kevin; parents, Albert and Mary; brothers, Albert and Robert; and sister, Catherine Haney. She is survived by son, Kurt; daughter-in-law, Geraldine; grandson, Chase; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: Wednesday March 9, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.

Evelyn was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 25, 1939, to Albert Potach and Mary Tvrdik. She is the oldest child of four children. Evelyn was raised in South Omaha, where she graduated from South High School. She married Ronye McKay and had two sons, Kevin and Kurt.
Evelyn worked at Kellogg’s where she retired after 25 years of service.
Evelyn enjoyed time with family and taking trips with friends. She was active in several groups: The Heartland Singles Square Dance Club, Red Hats, and Bunco.

Kurt, I am very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was certainly a great lady.she will definitely be missed.
Evelyn was a funny, caring and hard working person who was well loved at Kellogg’s. My prayers are for her family and especially Evelyn. Even though we haven’t seen each other in years, she will be greatly missed!
I was so sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. I have wonderful memories from the many years that I’ve known her and the entire McKay and Potach family. My condolences to you Kurt and to your family.
