Evelyn L. Alexander
June 29, 1928 – October 9, 2018
Evelyn Lola (Fiscus) Alexander passed away on October 9, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in Whiting, Iowa to Ivan and Lola Fiscus. She graduated from Onawa, Iowa High School in 1946. After high school she held various jobs through the years until she landed in the trucking industry as a truck broker. In 1976 she opened A & W Truck Brokers, Inc., operating it until her retirement in 1993. In 1985 she married John “Jack” Sullivan. After retirement, they enjoyed traveling to New Mexico to spend the winter. Her other joys included gardening, raising violets, cooking for her son-in-law, and tending to an open fire. She always enjoyed a good walk and making items for cancer survivors. A member of Red Hat Society, YMCA, and Omaha African Violet Society, Evelyn had the ability to find new friends wherever her travels took her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by daughter, Patti (spouse, Mick Bullock); grandchildren: Angie Hughes (David) and Amy Daleo (Joe); great-grandchildren: Ali, Abby and Ana Hughes, and Olivia and Grace Daleo.
VISITATION begins on Monday, October 15th at 10am at the West Center Chapel, followed by MEMORIAL SERVICE at 11am.
