Everett “Sonny” Paul Nordmeyer, 79, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away February 18, 2022. He was born February 24, 1942, in Kankakee, Illinois to the late Arnold Nordmeyer and Bonita Trumble. In addition to his parents, Sonny was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his grandson, Benjamin Ryan Petrzilka; great-granddaughter, Vida Nordmeyer; siblings, Arnell and Wesley Nordmeyer; and beloved aunt and uncle, Eunice and Duane Wakeman.
Dad was a proud man, rarely asking for help but would help anyone with a moment’s notice. He was a man of many hobbies and talents, but mostly enjoyed using his old-time blacksmith skills to create amazing things. Everett was an ultimate provider – dependable, reliable and could always be counted on. He was also understanding, kind and although a strong man, he was a gentleman, an excellent listener and great storyteller. He was a loving and faithful husband, incredible father and grandfather who loved his family more than life itself, as well as a beloved uncle and friend.
Those left to cherish their memories of Sonny include wife, Jeanne Nordmeyer; children: John Paul (Kathy) Nordmeyer, Arnell Marie (Bryan) Petrzilka, and Jeffrey Michael Nordmeyer; grandchildren: Christina Nordmeyer, Jasmin Nordmeyer, Michael Nordmeyer, Mitchell Nordmeyer, and Jackson Petrzilka; eight great-grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends that loved him dearly.
