I was saddened to see this. I knew Dick from the phone company and have nothing but good memories of him. A bunch of us all went to break together every day, off site. His sense of humor is something I will always remember. I’m sure those sitting near us that we didn’t know will remember him as well since he made them laugh too. Rest in peace, Dick.

Jan and family. David and I both worked with Dick for many years. He was a great manager. Also had a great sense of humor. We had a great visit a couple of years ago and his sense of humor has continued via emails. Received one from him 2/18. Know his health has been declining as he had indicated to us his issues. Now he is at peace. God be with you all.

My deepest condolences to the entire Selinger family. Dick was a great guy and will be missed by so many. I had received one of his emails less than two weeks ago and had no idea he was ill, even though we had kept in touch periodically. I will miss his jokes and wonderful sense of humor. I’ve never known someone so quick-witted. May he Rest In Peace and I sincerely hope God can handle him and have fun.

My deepest condolences to Jan and the entire family. Dick was a great guy. I knew him from tennis for many years. He was a great person with a super sense of humor. Dick started an adult tennis league in the 80’s and maanged it until he no longer had the energy. By his hard work and dedication to the league and its members, it evolved into one of the most popular and longest running leagues in Omaha. His efforts have allowed many tennis players to enjoy many years of fun tennis and fellowship. We will do our best to continue the league as best we can. Dick will be missed by many, many friends.
God bless and may he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Jan, children and extended family. Dick and I first met during the Ralston tennis days in the 70’s. Jan and Dick had us over often after matches when the kids were little.
I know Dick is at peace now and hope that same peace a d joy he shared fills your hearts. We were all enriched by his humor, kindness and community involvement.
    God bless you,
    Mark & Kate Beiting

We all have date with our creator but it does not lessen the loss of day to day communication. I knew him but doubt that he might know me. I was not one of his daily contacts.

Sorry to read of Richard’s death. He was always to fun to be with, and so devoted to his family. Remember the great times in Arizona, being introduced to Trader Joe’s and playing golf in Omaha where he was a marshal. And of course the great meals at your place. I will offer a Mass for him soon and keep all of you in my prayers. God bless, Fr. Al
