Vivian V. “Viv” Fehrman
January 27, 1925 – January 1, 2019
Vivian V. “Viv” Fehrman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. She was born on January 27, 1925 in Mason City, Iowa. Viv graduated from Clear Lake High School and then immediately moved to Omaha. While in Omaha, she met her future husband of 66 years, Dick Fehrman. They married on June 24, 1950 and remained totally in love through Dick’s passing in 2017.
Viv was full of life through her nearly 94 years on this earth. She loved to dance, play bridge and was always quick to meet people and welcome them into her circle of friends. She especially savored her time with Dick in Florida relaxing with numerous friends, soaking up the sun and enjoying a margarita or two. Viv served as vice chair of the Westgate Assisted Living Facility resident’s association and really enjoyed the people she met there. She was especially grateful for the amazing team of caregivers at Westgate as well as Josie Harper Hospice House.
She is survived by her four children: Rick Fehrman (Ellie), Patty Lade, Mike Fehrman (Cindy) and Bill Fehrman (Kathy), Brother Ray (Cindy) Fehrman; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Viv was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Fehrman; her mother, Flo (Taylor) Thompson; father, Tru Thompson; grandsons, Eric Lade and Timmy Fehrman and numerous other beloved family members.
