Mary Ann Filippi Mar 1, 1923 – Sep 28, 2015 Preceded in death by husband, Dr. John Q. Filippi; daughter, Ann Margaret Filippi; sisters, Jeannie Rickert and Alice Ferry Mueche. Survived by daughter, Mary Lou Butler (Charles); son, Dr. John E. Filippi (Karen); grandchildren: Craig Welling (Kyung), Julie Wigdahl (Nathan), Gina Amick (Steve Sladek), Jordan Filippi (Amanda), and Austin Filippi (Ashlee); three great-grandchildren: Brooke and Brody Wigdahl, Piper Welling; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 30th, from 5pm to 7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Thursday, October 1st at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 307 E. Meigs St. in Valley, NE. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we wish to continue Mary Anns support of Catholic school education with memorials to Mercy High School, Marian High School, or Creighton Prep.
