Florence Howell

Florence Maxine Hill Howell, 90, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on February 25, 2023, at 2:20 PM after a short illness with congestive heart failure.

Florence is survived by her two sons, Dennis Lee Howell and Craig Alan Howell (Melissa), along with her two grandsons, Taylor Alan Howell and Dillon Lee Howell. She is also survived by an honorary daughter, Sandi Nelson (John), her brother James Enoch Hill (Denna), and many nieces and nephews.  Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Edgar Howell, and her parents, James Enoch and Alma Maggie Balmer Hill. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Robert James Hill, Russell Alan Hill, Wylma Jean Hill Romine (Ordell/Pete), Donald Gordon Hill (Marcia), and Rhodabell Ann Hill Hawkins (Albert).

Throughout her life, Florence found joy in caring for her family and delighted in spending time with her two grandsons, Taylor and Dillon. She loved music and was an enthusiastic sports fan, following professional football, baseball, and college basketball. Florence also loved and took great pride in her home, and enjoyed landscaping her lawn and gardens. She lived quietly and securely with her steadfast faith, which was gifted to her from her father.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Presbyterian Church of the Cross in Omaha, Nebraska.
