Preceded in death by husband, Charles Thomas Mitchell; parents, Frank and Anna Lutwitze; siblings: Helen Neppel, LaVern Lutwitze, Agnes Lutwitze, and Joseph Lutwitze. Survived by sister, Margaret Frees (John); children: Barbara Daniels (Robby), Dennis (Pam), Kathy Mitchell (John Gearon), Thomas, Patrick (Janet), Brian, Theresa Rome (Tom), Tim, John (Annie), and David (Leslie); 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Lutwitze; brother-in-law, “Skibby” Huycke; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15th from 3pm to 5pm at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm.  VISITATION Monday, October 16th from 10:15am to 11:15am at St. Cecilia Cathedral, followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11:15 a.m.  Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested  to St. Cecilia Cathedral Endowment Fund, St. Anthony Nurses Alumnae Association, or Boys Town National Alumni Auxiliary Association.

    Please accept my deepest sympathies to your wonderful mother. She epitomized what Cathedral High School was all about. I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend her services as I will be out of town with my family. Prayers and peace to the wonderful Mitchell family.

    I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOM. MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU ALL AS YOU SAY GOODBYE TO SUCH A GREAT LADY, A STRONG MOTHER, AND SUCH A CARING PERSON. I BELIEVE THE MITCHELL’S ARE CELEBRATING HER LIFE ABOVE.

    I am truly sorry to hear this, she was our energizer bunny….She will be greatly missed.We cannot express our sorrow,enough.I will miss all her cards and letters,keeping me posted on all our Familys doings,and always seeing her happy face every couple years..Our sincere sympathy is with all of the family, and I pray the Holy Comforter will be upon you all soon.As Always and with Love for you all, Peggy
