On the morning of February 2nd, Covid took Florence McQuade before her time at the age of 69.  She passed at Methodist Hospital after seven short days.  It was, to say the least, a shock to us all.  Florence was loved by everyone.  She had many titles, some of which were Flo, Toots, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, but always Friend.

Florence was a giving and loving woman.  Flo always opened her heart and her home to all.  She was a confidant, a leader.  Strong doesn’t begin to describe the tenacity which she utilized to raise two wild boys separated by 16 years.  Flo was warm and welcoming to all she encountered, especially kids.  Regardless of what you called her, after a short time, perhaps even immediately, she was tremendously more than any title could convey.  That is the type of person she remained her entire life.

I would like to invite you to come and help us celebrate her life and the impact she had in all of ours.  The joy that was her.

If you would like to help the family in this tragic sudden loss, there is a fund set up in her honor on Cash App.

So sorry to hear of Flo’s passing. I knew her and her husband Mark from working at Sears Auto Center. Both wonderful people. They are together again and may God speed.

Toots was such a wonderful Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandma. She had the biggest heart and loved her family fiercely. I will always remember her smile and how much she loved and did for you all.
May you find comfort and strength in God’s Blessings and each other.
