Frank Robb

February 11, 1931 – September 9, 2018

Frank Robb was born in Nashua, Missouri to Rufus and Melvina Robb on February 11, 1931.  He met his beautiful wife, Jo Ann, in Kansas City where they fell in love and married on October 28, 1961.  He moved his family to Omaha in 1977 where he continued to live the rest of his life.  During the Korean War, from 1948 to 1952, Frank served in the Navy aboard the USS Vermillion where he participated in Operation Blue Jay—a top-secret project to build Thule Air Force Base in Greenland to defend America from the cold war with Russia.  After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Frank quickly found his niche in the grain industry where his career spanned over 60 years.  After working for companies such as Ford Grain Door, International Stanley, and Gamet Manufacturing, Frank started his own business, Robbco Enterprises, in 1987 where he served as President and CEO until his retirement in 2016.

Frank is survived  by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann; children: Robert (Christina), Michael (Hana), David, Joan Ellingson (Eric), and Steve (Cass): grandchildren: Katja, Lauren, Tommy, Samantha, and Danielle; great-grandchildren: David, Nina and Jacksen.   Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Melvina Robb, and brother, James.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, Sept 19th at 3pm at the West Center Chapel.  Interment: Friday, September 21st at 10am at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
