Frank S. Kros, Jr.
June 14, 1938 – September 14, 2020
Frank S. Kros, Jr. “Sonny” passed away on September 14, 2020 at his home in Louisville, Nebraska. He was 82. He died peacefully surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-children. Frank was born on June 14, 1938 in Omaha to Frank S. Kros, Sr. and Anna Kuzio. He was the fourth of six children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister, Bernice Janacek. He is survived by sisters, Dorothy Halamek and Eleanor Frady; brothers, Tom Kros (Kathy) and Mike Kros (Pauletta); sons: Steven Kros (Ruth) of Omaha, Frank Kros (Shawn) of Fallston, Maryland, Doug Kros (Laura) of Garmisch-Partenkurchen, Germany, Tim Kros of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Kevin Kros (Patti O’Connor) of Bellevue; daughter, Michelle Schmidt (Don) of Gretna; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and cousin, Frank’s greatest passion was his family.
His love of woodworking, gardening and winemaking created gifts enjoyed by many.
Visitors are welcomed on Friday, September 18th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Heafey Hoffman Dworak Cutler, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, Nebraska followed by a VIGIL SERVICE at 7:00pm. A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19th at 11:00am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 100 9th Street, Springfield, Nebraska. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE Reception will be hosted by the family immediately following at Louisville Senior Center, 423 Elm Street, Louisville, Nebraska 68037. In lieu of flowers, donations are invited to Saint Joseph Catholic Church and the Louisville Public Library.

So many fun memories with you- you always took a genuine interest in my life and all of my friends lives. You were always the first to roll up your sleeves to help someone out or work on a project to help others. I will be forever grateful for the love & laughter you have shown me and my family throughout our lives. We love you and miss you already.
Ive had the pleasure of getting to know frank for the last 3 years. He was a wonderful man and he is going to be missed. Always a smile on his face and always cracking jokes. Wont forget him.

Frank will be missed by many.. Always looked forward to seeing him at Louisville Family Dental. He had a way of always putting smiles on our faces with his stories. What a kind soul ! Rest easy Frank ❤️
I haven’t known Mr. Kros for very long. I have only worked as the Louisville librarian for a little over a year. The few times that he came in we would visit while I checked out his books. He was a very nice, kind man.I’m so sorry for your loss.
