Fred L. Wupper

WUPPER, Fred L. Jul 2, 1916 – Sep 28, 2011 Preceded in death by parents; wife, Emmajean; dear friend, Mary Rose. Survived by son, John Wupper (Sherry); daughters, Kathy Toensmeier (Art), and Anne Jones (Kent Sinram); 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews and many friends. Fred was born and raised in Fremont, NE. He graduated from Northwestern University with a major in business and finance. Following his graduation from college Fred joined the Army Air Corps; he and Emmajean were married when he got his “wings.” He served in the Air Corps for 5 years during WWII, then settled in Lima, Ohio and moved to Omaha in 1956. He worked as stockbroker and retired in 1977. Throughout his life he had a love for flying and was able to fly again at age 87 with the Omaha Soaring Club. Fred was involved with his church and community, and delighted in his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. VISITATION WITH FAMILY Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9:30am at the Lighthouse Chapel, 17600 Arbor St. followed by CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE at 10:00am. Private Inurnment, Evergreen Memorial Park with full military honors by Benson V.F.W. Post 2503. Memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, or Lakeside Scholarship Fund, Omaha, NE.
