Fred Robert Stranglen, Jr. “Bud”

September 14, 1946 – October 14, 2019

 Age 73.  Bud was born and raised in South Omaha and was very proud of his Bohemian Heritage.  Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emily; sister, Linda Whitney.  Survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy; son, Sean and wife Carrie; grandson, Connor; brother, Ron Stranglen and wife Joyce; sister, Rita Munnelly and husband Dennis; brother-in-law Dan Whitney; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17th from 4pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MEMORIAL MASS: Friday, October 18th at 11am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7600 South 42nd Street in Bellevue.  Memorials will be directed by the family.

    It is with sincere sorrow that I extend my condolences to your family. I grew up with Bud and his sister Rita. They were a part of the Polk St. kids, and many memories were forged during those early years. I remember that Bud attended my Dad’s service and I greatly appreciated his presence at that time..
    Again, my sincere sympathy to all of your family.
