Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he and Judy owned Village Book and Stationery in Countryside Village.

Fred was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for 45 years, and for 30 years served as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist.

Fred loved Cornhusker games and attended both home and away games from 1973 until his most recent illness.  His other love was golf.  Fred was a junior golfer in Buffalo, NY, and was a member of Kenmore High School, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Air Force-Vandenberg teams.   He held the course record at Vandenberg AFB for many years after shooting a 69 3 under par.  He was a 1967 Southern California Golf Association Champion.  He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Golf Association and was recognized in appreciation of his outstanding contributions. He has also recorded four holes-in-one and was club champion at various courses.  Fred valued the many golf friendships he built over the years.

Most of all, he loved his family and was very proud of his kids’ and grandkids’ accomplishments. Fred passed peacefully at home with his family by his side.

I wish to extend my condolences to Judith and the family. I served several years with Fred at Offutt AFB in the 4000th Support Group. We had many interesting experiences dealing with space systems. God Bless him and thank You for his service.
