Gary C. Pignotti
June 2, 1945 – December 26, 2024
Gary Carl Pignotti, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2024. He was born on June 2, 1945, to Joseph and Viola Pignotti.
In 1970, Gary married the love of his life, Karen (Jaworski) Pignotti, and together they had their only child, Randy Pignotti. Throughout their 54 years of marriage, Gary was deeply committed to his family. His passions included antiques and the family farm, where he enjoyed working with his bulldozer to carve trails for family and friends to enjoy.
Gary served in the Omaha Police Department, joining in 1969 and retiring in 1986 after years of dedicated service.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Pignotti (1964); mother, Viola Pignotti (2021); sister, Cindy (2022). He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; son, Randy Pignotti; daughter-in-law, Kristen Pignotti; and his most cherished granddaughter, Olive.
VISITATION: Monday, January 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road.
A private funeral service will take place at a later date.

A very dear friend. We so much enjoyed our dinners together with Karen & Gary. Always laughter and wondering what he would have for me to trade.or buy. I loved it when he would go ‘cop’ on Carol. She always fell for his ‘routine interrogation’ He will be missed greatly. RIP dear man.
With deep sadness he will be missed, it was a very pleasure knowing him and we always laughed when we had a conversation. My prayers to the family and may his wings spread wide to watch and protect you for eternity .
Deeply sadden to hear of Gary’s passing. We were in the same police recruit class in 1969. He was serious when he had to be and fun to be around during those relaxed moments. Eternal rest, Officer.
