KOPP, Gary L. Mar 7, 1942 Jan 5, 2014 Preceded in death by stepdaughter, Pamy Jo Karas. Survived by wife, Pamela M. Kopp; daughter, Christin K. Sacco (Christopher); grandchildren, Thomas Sleyster and Benjamin Kopp; stepchildren, Aaron Chamberlain and Kimberly Huddleston; 13 step-grandchildren. Through the years Gary loved being with family and friendsboating, skiing, fishing, and going to dinner with Pam at Ms Pub. Also they enjoyed browsing in the Old Market, visiting carnivals and art fairs, and taking long walks with their Great Dane, Oreo. Every year he looked forward to the Fourth of July, when he would join family and friends to watch fireworks from his boat on the river. Until his health began to fail, Gary faithfully attended church. His favorite scripture was Psalm 91. Gary accepted Jesus into his heart on October 5, 2001. He was a great fan of the Gaithers, a Gospel singing group. He and Pam attended the groups concerts whenever they came to Omaha. Most of all, Gary loved his daughter Chris, and his grandsons, Thomas and Benny. Also, he was devoted to his stepchildren and grandchildren, and his two dogs, Midas and Ratchett, and cats, Sammy and Bogie. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Thursday, January 9th at 1pm, West Center Chapel. Interment, Voss Mohr Cemetery. Memorials will be directed by the family.
