Gayle Ann Bouckhuyt

Gayle Ann Bouckhuyt

January 12, 1954 – April 21, 2025

Gayle Ann Bouckhuyt, born on January 12, 1954, passed away on April 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and generosity. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Gayle dedicated her life to her family, ensuring that her home was always a place of warmth, care, and unwavering support. Her four children and devoted husband were the heart of her world, and she took immense pride in being a loving mother and wife.

For 47 years, Gayle was a cherished presence at Anthony’s Steakhouse, where she exemplified loyalty, hard work, and kindness. Her passion for life was reflected in the way she treated others – with selflessness, compassion, and a giving heart. She touched countless lives with her warmth, always putting others before herself and finding joy in making those around her feel loved and appreciated.

Outside of her work and family, Gayle found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the beach, basking in the warmth of the sun, and enjoying the tranquility of the waves. Camping was another source of joy for her-spending time at the lake, making memories with loved ones, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. Most of all, she found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family, cherishing every moment spent together. She was deeply devoted to supporting her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to attend their events, cheer them on, and celebrate their achievements.

Gayle also found structure and balance through her dedication to working out, staying active as a way to bring focus and energy into her daily life. Whether it was a brisk walk or a favorite workout routine, she embraced the discipline with enthusiasm. And when it came to shopping, Gayle had a sharp eye for a great deal-never passing up the chance to snag the perfect bargain.

Gayle was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Greta and Robert Saint. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Bouckhuyt; her loving children, daughter, Laurie Ridder and son-in-law, Erik Ridder, son, Tim Bouckhuyt and Sara Croll, son, Nick Bouckhuyt and daughter-in-law, Jenni Bouckhuyt, and son, Blake Bouckhuyt and daughter-in-law, Shelby Bouckhuyt. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: grandson, Gage, grandson, Tiernan and granddaughter, Jade Ridder, grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle Kruger, and grandchildren, Nicholas and Katlyn Wordekemper. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Marsha Langenfeld, and her brother, Robert “Bob” Saint, Jr.

Though she is no longer physically with us, the values she instilled and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and the joy of family will forever remain a guiding light for those she loved.

May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply cherished and will never be forgotten.

I thought of Gayle on Monday regretting I had good intentions of sharing something with het about a memory of her mother. But I never did. Gayle and I became friends beginning in 4th grade.
She had a great smile and a loud laugh. I have precious memories of slumber parties, going downtown, ice-skating, swimming, etc. It was fun to be with her. Even though there has been many years since high school, she was part of my growing up history. God bless her family .
