George was a great friend and a great guy. He always shot straight with folks, from The Arbor Garage and in life. Seeing George and Joan at the classic car gatherings made them special. He was a true gentleman. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

The Midwest Street Rod Association is how I was introduced to George many years ago. I remember George always being engaged in the club and its activities. Not knowing George as well as a number of the other long-time members, I quickly noticed people seeking his advice. I learned over time why that was. Not only was George knowledgeable about everything automotive related, but he and Joan were really good people. Time moves on and my relationship with MSRA faded, but not in memory. I would occasionally see George and Joan at local car shows and they would always great me by name. For the years that I knew George, I never heard him say a negative thing about another person and, most of all, I never heard anyone say a bad thing about him. Cruise on.
