Preceded in death by parents, Kathleen and George D. Shanahan, Sr.; brothers, Mike and Jim Shanahan.  Survived by wife, Barbara J. Shanahan; children: Patrick (Nancy), Pamela Bazis (Steve), Laura Miller (Dana), Kevin, and Joseph (Michele); fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, John (Jane), Ellen Weist (Herman), and David (Linda); nieces and nephews.

VIGIL SERVICE Wednesday, Nov 1^st at 6pm at the West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd., followed by VISITATION until 8pm.  SERVICES Thursday, Nov. 2^nd at 1pm at the West Center Chapel.  Interment, Omaha National Cemetery with military honors.  Memorials will be directed by the family.
