George P. Johnston
January 20, 1941 – November 3, 2020
Preceded in death by sons, Dan and Ryan; grandson, Kyle; parents, John Francis and Anne Johnston; and brother, Dick Johnston. Survived by wife, Mary Kay; daughters, Barbara Jones and Linda Newsome (Joe); and grandchildren: Angela, Jessica and Corey (Melissa).
VISITATION following CDC guidelines: Sunday, November 8th from 2pm to 4pm at the West Center Chapel, with VIGIL SERVICE at 4pm. VISITATION: Monday, November 9th from 9:30am to 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (14330 Eagle Run Dr.) followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 10:30am with military honors by Benson VFW Post 2503. Memorials are suggested to Benson VFW Post 2503 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Very sad to hear of George passing. George and I were close friends in grade school at Sacred Heart. George was a my best friend and we shared great memories. My he Rest In Peace.
George and MaryKay had the highest of highs and lowest of lows in their marriage. So much grief, but more importantly, so much love and laughter. George, you handled your physical pain without complaint and so much strength, and now your pain is over. Thanks be to God. Rest In Peace and remember “I love you too.”
