George was a lifelong basketball FANATIC! While in college at Creighton University (College of Business, 1955) he coached the varsity basketball team at Sacred Heart High School. He coached his daughter’s rec. league basketball team at the YMCA. He coached his grandson’s YMCA Rec league basketball team. He LIVED for his Creighton Blue Jays, Lady Jays and Lady Sioux basketball teams. He was a season ticket holder and booster of all for many years. When he passed on the morning of Dec. 17 he had basketball on the TV (ESPN) and the speaker near his ear. Basketball was one of the things, after family, that he loved the most.

I love you grandpa George ❤️
You were the kind of uncle that inspired me. I am an uncle many times over and someday I hope my nieces and nephews think of me as fondly as I think of you.
How sad to hear of George’s passing. He and Rita were strong friends of Linda, LeRoy, Rob and David back in the Williston days. (LeRoy passed in 2014). RIP dear friend! So glad you have Rita by your side again! ❤️🙏❤️
I love you grandpa George!
Prayers to your family! I worked with George when he was CEO of SAC credit union. I enjoyed so much talking with him and learning from him. He even sent me a congratulations card when I had served 25 years with Omaha FCU. May God be with your family as you relive all the good memories! 🙏
