Jerry & Mary Ann were very special to us. Mary Ann was a classmate at UNMC Nursing 1962. The 4 of us enjoyed Gamma Delta during our college years. Wonderful fellowship & we grew in our faith through Bible study & discussion. Jerry was our “professor “-always had information that made us “think” & helped us to understand biblical concepts. Mary Ann was a loving & proud mother/grandmother. She took care of Jerry & never complained. It was a difficult time for both of them—Mary Ann was consistent in making Jerry’s last years the best they could be.

We use to live on the same circle in Harvey Oaks with the Cates and the Panes. We had lots of fun times. We use to eat out together on Friday nights at least once a month. We rotated which couples turn it was to find a restaurant with a “cultural experience”. We would drive to little towns that had a cowboy bar that served dinner with a piano player. One time we found a restaurant on the Missouri River that had animals that would come up to the patio and beg for your chicken bones to be thrown to them. We played lots of Trivia Pursuit games and traveled together to many different locations throughout the United States. We would stay a week in a vacation rental home that had room for three couples. We would sight see the area and every night a different couple was responsible for cooking dinner. Then we broke out the Trivia Pursuit and have games for the championship of the world! We miss you friends and so sorry we couldn’t come to the services….
