Joe, Jerry, Dad was a pharmacist for sixty-one years, came home singing every night, and only got sick on the weekends. He loved sports, especially horse racing, football, basketball and expected you to pay up the dollar if your team lost. He was forever looking for the perfect exacta, and joked that his father gave him his horse playing “system,” and his brother got the Budweiser distributorship. He had an affinity for dancing, children, and animals. Children loved his playful nature. He was kind to everyone he met, and always wanted to know your name. He attributed everything good that was in his life to his wife Lynne, as she him.
Dad was a man who unconditionally loved and supported his family and friends. A person of great character who embodied strength and honesty, but never took himself too seriously. A man who was undoubtedly faithful, a provider, a caregiver, a patriarch, and a spiritual role model. He was wise and a comedian-the life of every party. This only scratches the surface of what a gentleman he was. We are so lucky and honored to have had him as our Dad.

To Liz, Teri, Frank and Lisa and family. I’m so sorry for the loss of your father. God’s comfort to you. I moved to Mesa AZ, so won’t be able to attend the visitation. Jeanette Laitner

I really enjoyed the obituary write up, what a positive influence on LIFE. We all should aspire to impact others in such positive ways. Prayers to your family as learning to live without someone with such a big personality can be hard, but you will all cherish so many fun and happy memories. Thinking of you LIsa-Rachel

so sorry and shocked on hearing of jerry’s passing. I went to Prep with jerry and we were good friends from then on , along with Jack Higgins and Jim Egan. WE had a lot of good times together. Will miss him dearly and keep him in my prayers. My sincere sympathy to all his family.
